Office 365 apps stop working, uninstall fails with Error Code: 30068-5 (1715).

Office 365 Pro Plus… I have several clients on several different domains having the same issue…

Office 365 applications stop working, uninstall through Control Panel – Programs and Features fails with Error Code: 30068-5 (1715).

The resolution is to force uninstall Office 365 using the following tool :

Step 1

Option 2

Download tool and run as an administrator.

Step 2

After running tool, reboot the system.

Step 3

Delete the following Office folders from the pc:

C:\Users\*theuser*\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office

C:\Users\*theuser*\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\office

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Office

Step 4

Re-install Office 365

On the effected machines all show Office 365 install date of 5/5/2016. Bad Patch? most likely…
